Interests And Personality
InterestsFor a piece of music to be considered a song in its true sense, it should be held to the same standards as a literary or cinematic work, or any other form of art that is presented over time. Any work in the field of "composed art" may be reasonably expected to conform to such basic protocols as having a beginning, middle, and end, and having a central theme or other overarching device which ensures coherence throughout. Once this standard is established, Any piece that falls short of these basic criteria can be logically and comfortably classified as experimentation. As in all forms of art, there is a place for experimentation--even a glorious one; however, every experiment must be evaluated as such: successes should be praised, failures should be rejected, and new possibilities should be pursued by those who have the heart to do so.

When Not DJingSurfing
CommentsTo whom it may concern, abruptly stopping what you are doing in the middle of a song and then doing something completely different for no reason, or just doing the same thing over and over again until the song ends does not constitute creativity; only stupidity. No matter how many Indie-Rock buzzwords you put on your album review, ADHD still doesn't spell art.
